I have always been fascinated by machines that take me from one location to another. My childhood imaginations revolved around flying a plane, controlling a train, and driving a bus.<\/p>\n
Twenty five years later, I still had not controlled a train or driven a bus, but I became a private pilot. Being a pilot is a mindset: take calculated risks, keep calm through adverse situations, and most importantly, communicate candidly regardless of circumstances.\u00a0Flying puts things in the right perspective.<\/p>\n
The engine roar during take off gives me goosebumps, every time. To me, nothing shouts home more than descending into the runway lights of Paine Field (KPAE) or Renton (KRNT) at dusk. Moments like these are simply magical.<\/p>\n
